Fashion study has two kinds of cost: what you pay the school and what you spend on making.
Read the billing basis
Tuition is published per year, per term, per credit, per course or as a whole-program fee. These are not comparable, and this directory never ranks programs by price. A per-year figure for a three-year degree is not a three-year total, and a whole-program fee for a nine-month diploma is not an annual fee.
Domestic and international fees
Many schools charge different fees by residency. Each fee on our listings shows its category and academic year where the school states them.
Materials and equipment
Fabric, notions, printing, mannequins, sewing machines, software licences and the cost of a graduate collection can be significant and are not always in the tuition fee. Where a school publishes a materials cost it is shown separately; where it does not, the listing says nothing rather than implying there is none.
Ask before you apply
What is included in tuition, what you must buy, whether there is a materials allowance, who pays for the final show, and whether there are refund terms.
Currencies
Amounts are shown in the original currency and are never converted or summed.
